CAV Aerial – Drone Rental Terms & Conditions
These terms apply to all equipment hired from CAV Aerial, trading under Callaghan Digital Ltd.
By submitting a booking request, you agree to the terms below and accept full responsibility for the safe and legal use of any rented equipment.
1. Training
All drone operators must hold a valid GVC (General Visual Line of Sight Certificate) or equivalent qualification.
This ensures competency and compliance with UK drone laws when operating any equipment provided by CAV Aerial.
2. Registration
All pilots must:
Hold a valid CAA Flyer ID
Affix their Operator ID label to the drone before use
You can register or renew your ID through the official CAA website.
3. Insurance
To rent any drone, the hirer must hold active drone insurance.
We recommend using Coverdrone’s Pay-As-You-Fly cover, ideal for short-term hires.
You must provide a copy of your Policy Schedule as proof of insurance prior to dispatch.
4. ID Verification
Before we release any equipment, we require two forms of ID:
A valid photo ID (passport or driving licence)
A recent utility bill or bank statement showing your delivery address
This one-time verification ensures secure handover and protects both parties.
5. Liability & Responsibility
The hirer is fully responsible for the drone and all equipment during the rental period.
This includes:
Loss or theft
Damage
Legal liability or fines arising from misuse or negligence
The drone must be returned in the same condition it was received.
6. Approval & Availability
All rentals are subject to approval.
We reserve the right to decline any booking request. Availability is not guaranteed until confirmed in writing.
